Customized Care Packages sent to troops in Afghanistan
Santa Ana, CA. On August 18th, Leading Edge staff had a unique opportunity to be a part of something truly special. On that day, Leading Edge teamed with Operation America Cares to send custom-made care packages to dozens of Marines overseas. Once completed, the packages were chalk full of “little things” that make a big difference in the lives of Marines serving overseas, from band aids, toiletries and sun block, to books paper and pens.
As an added bonus, the packages included personal letters from staff to their designated Marine, filled with words of hope and appreciation. And as long-time supporters of the men and women who serve this country Leading Edge agreed to match every box purchased by an employee with one of its own.
“It’s important to demonstrate support for our troops not just during the holidays, but throughout the entire year,” said Mike Manclark, CEO, Leading Edge Aviaiton Services. “They’re facing an extremely tough job, and if we can make it just a little bit easier, then it’s well worthwhile. These packages are just a small but important way we can thank and acknowledge the every day battle these people face to protect our freedoms here at home.”
